Which of the following is true about appropriate language in the workplace?

When in doubt about what language is appropriate, choose language that is slightly less formal than what others are using. You can understand what level of formality is appropriate by listening to and observing others. Using appropriate language means being as formal as possible at all times.
Only those giving presentations need to worry about using appropriate language.

Answer:

The best answer for the question: Which of the following is true about appropriate language in the workplace, would be: You can understand what level of formality is appropriate by listening to and observing others.

Step-by-step explanation:

The correct use of language, in any place, and in any situation, depends mostly on the observation that a person does of the environment, and his level of education. This means that when a person arrives at a certain environment, like in this case, the workplace, he/she needs to observe those around in order to understand and learn what is, and what is not, appropriate to do, when using language. For example, you may be a recently graduated Law School person who lands a job at a prestigious law firm. When you were in school, with your friends, you used a certain language, that might have been informal and relaxed. But the firm where you are now working, will not admit such language. In order for you to know what is appropriate for this job, including body language, you need to learn to observe and execute the appropriate actions born from such observation.
