The slope of the line joining the points (1,1) and (7,5) is 2/3

Here, we want to find the slope of the line that passes through these two points

To get this, we use the equation of the slope

This is;

m\text{ = }(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

From the question;

\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1)\text{ = (1,1)} \\ (x_2,y_2)\text{ = (7,5)} \end{gathered}

Substituting these values, we have;

m\text{ = }(5-1)/(7-1)\text{ = }(4)/(6)=\text{ }(2)/(3)
