-3
(2)/(3) × -2
(1)/(4) = 8
(1)/(4)
(or in other words, 8.25.)

EXPLANATION : The fractions you are given to multiply are called mixed fractions. To make it easier for you to multiply, add, subtract, and divide them, you could turn them into improper fractions, by multiplying the whole number before the fraction with the denominator, and then adding (or subtracting) the product with the denominator. That's what I did, in this case. (And, also, don't forget : when you're multiplying a negative and a negative, the product becomes a positive.)

-3
(2)/(3) =

(11)/(3)
-2
(1)/(4) =

(9)/(4)

(11)/(3) ×
(9)/(4) =
(99)/(12)

Once divided, that last fraction equals to 8.25. When you convert this decimal back into a mixed fraction, your answer is 8
(1)/(4)
