Answer:

A : an=1.5n+2

Explanation:

One year after a tree is planted, the tree is 3.5 ft tall. Each year, the tree grows 1.5 ft.

Each year , the tree grows 1.5 ft . It means the tree grows at constant rate.

We use equation y=mx+b

constant rate m = 1.5

we need to find out b

Given : One year after a tree is planted, the tree is 3.5 ft tall.

So when x= 1 , y = 3.5

Plug in the value and find out b, m= 1.5

3.5=1.5(1)+b

Subtract 1.5 on both sides

b= 2

So final equation

an = 1.5x + 2

option A
