I agree with the person above - the last word on a page is called a guide word.
This refers mostly to dictionaries - it is printed at the top of the page and it tells you what the first or the last word on the page is. So instead of having to look at the bottom of the page in order to see what the last word is, just take a look at the top and see the guide word there.
