For right triangles, note that the side opposite to the right angle is the hypotenuse.

1. cos θ = adjacent side/hypotenuse = 12/13
θ = arc cos(12/13) = 22.6°

2. tan θ = opposite side/ adjacent side
θ = arc tan (4/13) = 17.1°

3. cos θ = adjacent side/hypotenuse = 6/9
θ = arc cos(6/9) = 48.2°

4. tan θ = opposite side/ adjacent side
θ = arc tan (11.9/10) = 49.9°

5. tan θ = opposite side/ adjacent side
θ = arc tan (7.7/14) = 28.8°

6. cos θ = adjacent side/hypotenuse = 4/5
θ = arc cos(4/5) = 36.9°

7. cos θ = adjacent side/hypotenuse = 4.4/11
θ = arc cos(4.4/11) = 66.4°

8. tan θ = opposite side/ adjacent side
θ = arc tan (3/3) = 45.0°

9. cos θ = adjacent side/hypotenuse
cos 37 = 11/x
x = 11/cos 37 = 13.8

10. tan θ = opposite side/ adjacent side
tan 32 = x/13
x = 13*tan 32 = 8.1

11. tan θ = opposite side/ adjacent side
tan 50.1 = x/5
x = 5*tan 50.1 = 6.0

12. cos θ = adjacent side/hypotenuse
cos 60 = x/11
x = 11*cos 60 = 5.5
