Combine all like terms
7x - 6 - 2 = 8 + 3x
7x - 4 = 8 + 3x
Add 4 to each side
7x - 4 + 4 = 8 + 3x + 4
7x = 12 + 3x
Then, subtract 3x on both sides
7x - 3x = 12 + 3x - 3x
4x = 12
Divide 4 on both sides (to isolate x)
4x/4 = 12/4
X = 3
Hope this helps!!!
