How do you maximize magnification, in a simple magnifier and in a microscope?

In simple magnifier the magnification can be obtained by placement of the object closer to the then the normal distance.This precision magnifier acts as a simple magnifier. microscope resolution is the shortest distance between two separate points in a microscope’s field of view that can still be distinguished as distinct entities.
