What were some of the reasons for and against prohibition in the 1920s?

The arguments for prohibition were that alcohol was addictive and dangerous. It killed many, wrecked the lives of many more, and destroyed families. The arguments against prohibition were pretty much what you hear today about the war on drugs. It's costly and promotes criminal behavior.Apr 8, 2016
