In Animal Farm, the pigs become the leaders of the revolution. However, instead of protecting the ideals that all the animals had come to respect, they begin to be corrupted by their power. This leads them to act and behave in the same way that humans do. As the pigs adopt more and more human behaviours, they get farther away from the other animals. They also resemble humans more and more. What this represents is the corruption that the pigs engage in and their betrayal of the other farm animals.
