the area of of the picture frame will be given by
area=L*w
97/4=L*9/2
L=97/4*2/9
L=97/18
=5 and 7/18 This should be length

I'd convert fractions improper fractions
117/4= 3/2l (length)
l = 117/4 / 3/2
Turn 3/2 upside down n multiply them;
117/4 x 2/3 = 234/12 = 19 1/2 is the length
