Ramonita measured the height of a tree to be 11 feet. One month later, she measured the tree to be 11.75 feet tall. Two months after the initial measurement, the tree was 12.50 feet tall. Assuming the tree continues to grow at the same rate, write the slope-intercept form of the equation of the line that represents the height of the tree after x months. Which equation correctly models the situation?

Hi.

To formally answer your question:

D. y = 0.75x + 11

We can prove this by substituting x with 1 (the initial measurement)

y = 0.75(1) + 11 = 11.75
