To Find: Use compass directions to describe the Direction of a vector.

Solution :

Since we know that there are 4 directions on compass

North

East

West

South

We can see that the vector is lying between West and south

A vector arrow (with arrowhead) is drawn in a specified direction.

Since the angle is subtended with base on West and is subtending towards south with measure of 41°

Since vector is travelling south west at an angle of 41°

Thus the direction of compass is 41° south of west

Using compass directions we simply describe the direction using the angle relative to N, S, E & W.

So in this case, the vector is travelling south west at an angle "41 degrees South of West."
