1073/81

149/9

1) Evaluating that expression we have, prioritizing the parentheses:

\begin{gathered} 13+((5)/(9)\cdot(4)/(9)) \\ 13+((20)/(81)) \\ (1053+20)/(81) \\ (1073)/(81) \end{gathered}

2) Notice that we took the LCM (least common Multiple) between 81,1 and then proceeded to reduce it to one simple fraction.

Similarly to the procedures above, we can do the same to the following expression:

1) Multiply the factors within that parentheses, and simplify it whenever possible dividing by a common number.

2) Take the least common multiple and then add to the whole number outside:

\begin{gathered} 16+((5)/(6)\cdot(4)/(6)) \\ 16\text{ +(}(20)/(36)) \\ 16+(5)/(9) \\ \text{LCM}(9,1)\text{ = 9} \\ (9*16)/(9)+(1*5)/(9) \\ (144)/(9)+(5)/(9) \\ (149)/(9) \end{gathered}
