The dog walker charged a flat rate of $6 per work

hourly rate of $30

since he is charging for work and hourly rate

our function becomes $6 + 30 x hours the dog worked

f(h) = 30h + 6

this function is hourly dependent

if 1h ------ $30

then 45 minutes is what

we need to convert the minutes to hour

60minutes --------- 1h

45 minutes ---------- xh

60 * x = 1 * 45

60x = 45

divide both sides by 60

60x / 60 = 45/60

x = 45/60

15 is a common factor of both 45 and 60

x = 3/4 hour

1h will give us $30

3/4 hours will give us $x

1h ===== $30

3/4 h===== $x

x * 1 = 30 * 3/4

x = 90/4x
