6.1 x 10^7 and 6.1 x 10^2

We are to look for the quotient of 6.1 x 10^7 and 6.1 x 10^2

to look for the quotient we need to divdive the two expression

then we have

= 6.1 x 10^7 / 6.1 x 10^2

since x * 10^a / x * 10^b can be expressed as

x / x * 10^a - b ------- second law of indicies

= 6.1 / 6.1 x 10^7 -2

6.1/6.1 = 1

1.0 x 10^7 - 2

= 1.0 x 10^5

The answer is 1.0 x 10^5
