Personally, I'd say the correct answer is to learn about the human experience during internment.
I don't think A is correct because not all of these questions were only about her mother, but about her family and other families in general. History books are not mentioned and we don't see an unusual point about their internment, which is why I believe the interviewer is only curious about what it was like then.
