Rust, photosynthesis, and heat from fire are all chemical reactions because new substances are formed and the chemical formula is changed. By doing this, bonds are broken and formed in the making of the new substance. Melting ice is physical change the molecules are still water molecules, it just changed physical form.

Answer:

Melting ice is not an example of chemical reaction

Step-by-step explanation:

Chemical reaction:

A reaction in which one or more chemical species are converted to one or more different chemical species is known as chemical reaction. During chemical reaction constituent atoms of the reactants are rearrange to create different substances as products.

Rusting is a chemical reaction because during rusting a new chemical substance is created

Photosynthesis is also a chemical reaction because during photosynthesis new product is formed.

Heat from fire is also a chemical reaction because during this reaction new product as gases are released

Melting ice is not a chemical reaction because after melting ice converted into water. So in both ice and water water molecules does not change only a physical change takes place during this reaction.
