The approaches varied during the 1920s. For example, many African American civil rights leaders tried to rally people to not join or support the military until they were treated fairly whereas others supported world war I in order to gain equality.

Answer: The correct answer is : NAACP: wanted African Americans to be mixed into society and politics and blacks wanted to separate themselves from black nationalist movements.

Explanation: The NAACP program promoted solidarity with the inhabitants of Haiti who were trying to end the military occupation of the United States and with all colonized blacks, in Africa and in some parts of the Caribbean.
