How did an increase in trade lead to less feudalism and the growth of towns?

As trade increased, there was a massive increase in the growth of towns in order to spur the booming trade business. As a result, peasants and others began moving to towns. They were ultimately allowed to buy their freedom in towns, which was a lure for many others to move. This migration to towns caused feudalism to decline, amongst other factors, because lords no longer had as much right to labour.
