A) From the table, the greatest amount of rainfall is 3 1/4 in, and the least amount of rainfall is 3/4 in. The difference between these values is:

\begin{gathered} 3(1)/(4)-(3)/(4)= \\ =(13)/(4)-(3)/(4)=(10)/(4) \\ =(10)/(4)= \\ =2(1)/(2)\text{ in} \end{gathered}

B) The most common amount of rainfall is 2 3/4 in. If in the last two months the amount of rainfall is 2 3/4 in, then it will fall:

\begin{gathered} 2(3)/(4)+2(3)/(4)= \\ =(11)/(4)+(11)/(4)= \\ =(22)/(4)= \\ =5(1)/(2)\text{ in} \end{gathered}
