Let m be the rental cost for movies.
Let v be the rental cost for video games.

We have the following system of linear equations:
3m + 5v= 38
6m + 2v = 26

Multiply the first equation by 2

6m + 10v = 76
6m + 2v = 26

Subtract the both equations.

8v = 50
Divide both sides by 50.
v = 6.25

Plug this value into any of the two equations to solve for m.
You get m=2.25

The rental cost for a movie is $2.25
The rental cost for a video game is $6.25

Have an awesome day! :)
