• For years they believed that Tutankhamun had died at the age of 19 with a blow to the head, possibly caused by one of his rivals. Experts later determined that the damage to his mummy's skull was done after his death, either during embalming or being manipulated by scientists, but in 2005 another study found that he had broken his leg and developed an infection shortly before to die for. Other theories claim that he had malaria, which caused his leg infection to progress rapidly or cause a fatal fall.
• Pharaoh's casket, made of gold, was buried in the Valley of the Kings and surrounded by treasures such as a golden throne and crown, ceramic materials and a wide variety of chests and safes. In addition to the famous golden death mask, his sandals were also found in the chamber and had images of enemies on the soles so that he could "get over" them all.
• Tutankhamen, a young pharaoh of ancient Egypt crowned at the age of 9, still casts doubt on his past and inspires theories about his death.
