The right option is; A. Lateral recumbency
Lateral recumbency is another term for reclining restraint.
Reclining restraint (also called lateral recumbency) refers to when an animal is lying down on its side (either right or left) and is unable to rise. Restraint of animals in lateral recumbency is performed to reduce an animal’s voluntary movement in order to carryout examination, administer medications or to collect samples. Also, several conditions such as arthritis, injury, and neurological disorders may cause lateral recumbency in animals.
