It was the biggest political scandal and constitutional crisis in America, that led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon. It involved 5 burglars, all linked to the Nixon administration, breaking into the Watergate Complex, Washington DC, which was the head office of the Democratic national committee.

Watergate made everyone very suspicious of all politicians, The scandal forced people to open their eyes to the big business of politics and the things that go on behind the scenes. Personally, I choose to stay out of the world of politics and it is somewhat related to the fact that Watergate opened the floodgates for the world to see the corruption that runs this country.
