Politicians come from all sorts of professional backgrounds, from lawyers and chief executive officers to actors and even professional wrestlers. On a few notable occasions, politicians with criminal backgrounds have even been elected. In your opinion, should candidates with a criminal record be allowed to run for office? Why or why not?

So if politician is not allowed to participate in election due to their criminal background
Then in my opinion NARENDRA MODI , JOE BIDEN,TRUMP , and many more top leader of the world are not be seating in parliament .
lets assume for a moment that the person holding office is accused of doing some crime but he doesn't even done it but due to which he is not able not participate in election and losing his current seat . And after years of trails the result came that the person is not guilty then what will you do for that ?
So i think they should be allowed to hold election but if declared guilty by court they should be hold responsible and punished and terminate their seat for that term but they can participate in next one and it is moral responsibility of a person when they cast thier vote that they should not be electing person with criminal background .so not only law should be change people should so that world can change
