The perpendicular slope of the original equation,
-2x-9y=4, is the negative reciprocal (flip the numerator and denominator).

But first we need to put it in y=mx+b form...


-2x-9y=4 Equation


-9y=2x+4 Add 2x to both sides


y= -(2)/(9)x- (4)/(9) Standard format

Since now we know that the slope is
-(2)/(9), the perpendicular slope is
(9)/(2)
