This is an implied contract. While there is no written document that binds the two parties, the actions that the parties undertook are enough to justify the nature of the contract. Vita, in this instance, looked to have the boots fixed, Walter fixed the boots: these actions are enough to justify the presence of a contract even without the two parties signing off on such a document.
