Your input value set is {-3, -2, 2, 3}.

One by one, subst. the x values into the function and note the y-value obtained. In which of the four cases does this y-value match the given ordinate?

Example:

Let's try x = -3. Subst. -3 for x in h(x) = x^2 + 2, we get h(-3) = (-3)^2 + 2,
or 11. But the ordered pair is (-3,-7), and -7 is not equal to 11. Thus, eliminate the first answer choice. Move on and do the same work for the next x-value, which is x = -2.
