What impact, if any, does social media use have on peoples’ ability to communicate well with others in a face-to-face environment?

If you're hiding behind your computer screen or your phone screen, then you aren't scared to say something mean to someone or talk bad about someone to someone else but when you're confronted by that person, you try to lie and say you never said those things so that person won't be mad at you because you don't have the ability to tell someone you have a problem with them to their face.
