ent Trial Ends In 76 Days O Kami Uploads 21. Home Depot will rent Tom a pick up truck for $25 for the day, plus $0.10 per mile that he drives it. If Tom is trying to move this weekend, but only has $60, how many miles can he afforded to drive at most?

Let:

C = Total cost for rent the truck

x = Number of miles traveled by the truck

C = 25 + 0.10x

Tom only has $60, therefore:

\begin{gathered} C\leq60 \\ 25+0.10x\leq60 \\ \text{Solving for x:} \\ \text{Subtract 25 from both sides:} \\ 0.10x\leq60-25 \\ 0.10x\leq35 \\ \text{Divide both sides by 0.10:} \\ x\leq(35)/(0.10) \\ x\leq350 \end{gathered}

He can drive 350 miles at most
