Let x be the number of hours the waiter works.

We know that waiter A offers his services for an initial $25 plus $5.75 per hour, the ammount Aaron will pay this waiter can be express as:

5.75x+25

In the case of waiter B we know that her initial is $28 plus $4.75 per hout, the ammount Aaron will pay can be express as:

4.75x+28

To find out at what ammount of hours they will charge the same we equate the expressions and solve for x:

\begin{gathered} 5.75x+25=4.75x+28 \\ 5.75x-4.75x=28-25 \\ x=3 \end{gathered}

Therefore, at 3 hours both waiters will charge the same ammunt of $42.25.
