A room measures 12 ft by 12 ft a couch is 10 ft and 6 in long. If you center the couch in the middle of the room how far will each end of the couch be from the nearest wall?

so you subtract 10ft 6 from 12, and get 1 foot 6, then you divide that by two, and the nearest wall is 15 inches away from the couch.
