BODMAS

B-->Brackets

O--->Order or Power

D-->Division

M--->Multiplication

A-->Addition

S--->Subtraction

According to BODMAS rule, we should first do the operations inside brackets, then powers or roots, then any division or multiplication and finally do any addition or subtraction.

Consider an example.

2^2+3*4+2-(4-2)+6/3

First solve the brackets.

2^2+3*4+2-2+6/3

Now, solve the powers.

4^{}+3*4+2-2+6/3

Now, do the multiplication and division going from left to right.

4+12+2-2+2

Now, do the addition and subtraction going from left to right.

\begin{gathered} 20-2 \\ =18 \end{gathered}
