A) d + q = 27
B) .10d + .25q = 4.35
Multiplying equation A by -.1
-.1d -.1q = -2.7 then adding it to equation B
.1 d + .25q = 4.35 equals
.15q = 1.65
The number of quarters = 11
putting 11 quarters into equation A
d + 11 = 27
dimes = 16
