To find the distance between; A(2, 4) and B(5, 7).

we will use the disatnce formula;

d\text{ =}\sqrt[]{(x_2-x_1)^2}+(y_2-y_1)^2

From the question;

x₁ = 2 y₁=4 x₂ =5 and y₂ = 7

d\text{ =}\sqrt[]{(5-2)^2+(7-4)^2}

d=\sqrt[]{3^2+3^2}

d=\sqrt[]{9\text{ + 9 }}=\sqrt[]{18\text{ }}=3\sqrt[]{2}

Hence the distance
