How would you define the traformation "dilation"? what happens to a shape when it is dilated? What changes? what stays the same?

A dilation is when you enlarge or decrease a figure or shape by a scale factor. Hope this helps! :D

Dilation means a smaller size the shape is the same but what changes is the size
