Mixed fractions are expressed in this form;

a\text{ }(b)/(c)

where a, b and c are integers.

To divide and multiply mixed, fractions I am going to be making use of any ywo mixed fractions;

U\sin g\text{ 1}(1)/(2)\text{ and 3}(1)/(4)

First, let us multiply them. To do that we need to first convert the mixed fractons to imroper fractions as shown;

\begin{gathered} 1(1)/(2)=(3)/(2) \\ 3(1)/(4)=(13)/(4) \\ \end{gathered}

Now multiply;

\begin{gathered} =(3)/(2)*(13)/(4) \\ =(39)/(8) \\ =\text{ 4}(7)/(8) \end{gathered}

Now to divide;

(3/2)/(13/4)

= 3/2 * 4/13

Note that when you divide you will have to multiply back but by the reciprocal of 13/4 to have;

= 3/2 * 4/13

= (3*4)/(2*13)

= 12/26

= 6/13
