Step 1

Given;

\begin{gathered} The\text{ system odf equations} \\ 2x-y=14---(1) \\ x+y=-2--(2) \\ \end{gathered}

Required; To find out if (6,-2 ) is a solution

Step 2

Put x=6 and y =-2 in each equation.

\begin{gathered} 2(6)-(-2)=14 \\ 12+2=14 \\ 14=13 \\ 6-2=-2 \\ 4\\e-2 \end{gathered}

Since the ordered pair does not satisfy both equations then the ordered pair is not a solution to the given system.
