We have two points and we have to calculate the midpoint.

The coordinates of the midpoint are the average of the coordinates of the two points.

In this case, we have B=(-1, 6) and D=(9, 4), so we can calculate the coordinates of the midpoint M as:

x=(x_B+x_D)/(2)=(-1+9)/(2)=(8)/(2)=4
y=(y_B+y_D)/(2)=(6+4)/(2)=(10)/(2)=5

So the coordinates of the midpoint between B and D is (4, 5).

We can graph it so we can see it:
