Answer: HCCH (ACETYLENE) has the highest carbon-carbon bond strength. In this structure the carbons are linear with sp hybridization. Since acetylene contains a triple bond which has stronger bond strength and shorter bond length, it has the highest carbon-carbon bond strength.

HCCH with a bond energy of 813 kJ/mole Let's look at the three compounds HCCH = Acetylene with a triple carbon bond. CH2CH2 = Ethylene with a double carbon bond. CH3CH3 = Ethane with a single carbon bond. The strongest overall bond is the triple bond for Acetylene with a bond energy of about 813 kJ/mole as compared to the 598 kJ/mole for the double bond and the 346 kJ/mole for the single bond.
