Actually, you are asking "what is the solution to 8(x+4)-4=4x-1?"
Multiply out that 8(x+4)
8x + 32 - 4 = 4x - 1
Subtracting 4x from both sides: 4x + 28 = - 1
Then 4x = -29, and x = -29/4 (answer)
