In order to find the intercections of the line with x and y axis, you proceed as follow:

x - intercect:

equal the line equation to zero and solve for x:

y = -2x + 5

0 = -2x + 5

2x = 5

x = 5/2 = 2.5

y - intersect:

replace in the equation x=0 and calculate y:

y = -2(0) + 5

y = 0 + 5

y = 5

Hence, the intersections are x=5/2 and y=5 -> (5/2 , 5)

Next, you evaluate in the infinity, as follow:

x -> ∞ : y = 2(∞) + 5 = ∞, y-> ∞

That is, if x -> ∞, then also y->∞
