The direction of a vector is given as:

\theta=\tan ^(-1)((v_y)/(v_x))

where vx and vy are the components along the axis.

Plugging the values given we have:

\begin{gathered} \theta=\tan ^(-1)((9)/(12)) \\ \theta=36.87 \end{gathered}

Therefore the direction of the vector is 36.87°
