To find a surface area of a cube you want to find the area of ONE side first. Since we know that the area of a square is
s^(2), and we know that the side is 8.5, we can square it.

8.5^(2) = 72.25

Since the area of one side is 72.25, and the number of sides in a cube is 6, we should multiply 72.25 by 6

=433.5

Your answer for the first problem should be 433.5 if I am not mistaken.

The second problem simply asks to write the fraction as a repeating decimal

17/7 = 2.428571428571

We can see that the decimal digits of 428571 repeats, you would put the bar over it. Good luck!
