The amount of time t someone can rent the meeting room by a total price p is given by t = (p - 32)/5.4

Therefore, if they want to spend less than $59, the amount of time they could rent the meeting room is given by:

t < (59 - 32)/5.4

t < 27/5.4

t < 5 hours
