-x^2- 6x+ 4x -9=0
-x^2 - 2x -9=0
D= b^2 - 4ac= 4- 4*1*9= 4- 36= -32-> no solution

Yes. Subtract 4x by both sides.
So:
4x = x^2 + 6x + 9
0 = x^2 + 2x + 9
Then you can factorize
0 = (x+1)^2 + 8
