let the price of a great big one burger is = x

let the price of a soda is = y

it is given that,

a) for the first visit

they consumed 3 "Great Big One" burgers and drank 5 large sodas paying a total of $16.50.

so, the equation is,

3x + 5y = 16.50

b) for a second visit

also, the friends paid $31.50 for 6 "Great Big One" burgers and 9 large sodas on next day

6x + 9y = 31.50

d) 3x + 5y = 16.50 ..... (1)

6x + 9y = 31.50 ......(2)

the intersection point is,

(x , y) = (3 , 1.5)

e)

the intersection point is representing the cost price of each great big One burger that is x = 3 $

and the cost price of each soda y = 1.5 $
