Given:

The angle ( 4x-2) and 110 are the alternate exterior angles.

If the alternate exterior angles are equal when the transversal crosses two parallel lines.


\begin{gathered} 4x-2=110 \\ 4x=110+2 \\ 4x=112 \\ x=(112)/(4) \\ x=28 \end{gathered}

When x = 28, then the given two lines are parallel.
