< 3 and < 1 are vertical angles....vertical angles are equal
therefore, < 1 = 37
================
I am not good with proofs....but I can tell u that if < 2 = < 4....and < 2 = 110, then < 4 = 110. And < 3 when added to < 4 will equal 180...because they form a linear pair. Therefore, < 3 = 70 (because 70 + 110 = 180)....sorry, not much help on this one

angle 1=angle 3
angle 3=37
therefore angle 1=37
